Security at the White House suddenly tightened, Tuesday (2/8/2011), after a man made it into the page the office and official residence of U.S. President that by jumping the fence.
The incident had made troublesome security guards and Secret Service agents (Secret Service) in charge of guarding the U.S. president and his family. Two Secret Service agents immediately moved quickly drew his gun and arrested the man who jumped the fence of the White House's North page.
They immediately secured a backpack that carried him, worried that if the contents of explosives. However, 90 minutes later, the state declared safe.
The man was later revealed reckless named James Dirk Crudup (41), a homeless man. He was immediately arrested and handed over to Washington police station.
According to Secret Service spokesman Edwin Donovan, Crudup will be charged with entering people's homes without permission and article contempt of court (contempt of court) for violating a court order to stay away from the White House area. He was already twice received court orders to stay away from the White House.
The incident had attracted the attention of tourists and journalists, as police cars came straight to the White House gates with flashing strobe lights flashing. The journalist was immediately evacuated from the White House lawn where they usually congregate, as part of standard procedure when there are disturbances in the place.
The security guards equipped with weapons also appear, including on the roof of the White House.
The incidence of people entering the White House lawn by jumping the fence already happened several times, but so far have not led to a serious threat to the U.S. President.
