Violence never sticky from Afghanistan. Now roadside bomb exploded in Helmand province killed at least 18 people. According to AP and AFP on Friday (07/29/2011), victims are likely to travel to the provincial capital, Lashkar Gah, using small buses through the area when the bomb exploded Nahri Sarraj.

Kamaluddin Shirzai deputy police commander, said police were still at the blast site. "A number of reports I receive from the scene indicate everyone in the vehicle, 18 people were killed," he said.
"So far we can identify the body of one woman and three men," he added.
He said insurgents opened fire on police who deployed to handle the incident. However, none of the members of the security forces were wounded.
The journalists reported that the streets are increasingly become the forefront of the war in Afghanistan. Last year more than 2,400 civilians were killed, largely due to roadside bombs.
Military and civilian casualties in Afghanistan reached its highest level in recent years. From January to June 1462 recorded civilian casualties were killed, an increase of 15 percent over the same period last year, according to UN report recently.
