Playing with Manchester United, Arsenal Without Diaby

Arsenal midfielder, Abou Diaby, has undergone ankle surgery and will undergo a ten week recovery period.

"Abou has undergone knee surgery. Under normal circumstances, he should be back playing in eight to ten days after surgery, which meant the end of August," said manager Arsene Wenger.

Diaby suffered an injury late last season. Due to that, he missed the Arsenal preseason tour of Asia and Germany.

Referring to the statement Wenger, Diaby is also likely would not be able to play when Arsenal visited Manchester United in Premier League action, 28 August.
